Theo Kottis releases new EP, 'On Your Mind'

Edinburgh-born, London-based producer and DJ Theo Kottis has released his latest EP, 'On Your Mind'.

His first solo release on Permanent Vacation, and available both digitally and via vinyl, the six tracks on the record were created during the height of the pandemic and lockdown in 2020, providing a sense of escapism for Kottis.

There are nods to synth-pop and italo sounds, drawing inspiration from bands of the new wave era.

“Thrilled to finally share these tracks, I worked on them two years ago and was fortunate enough to find them a home at Permanent Vacation, which has long been one of the labels I’ve admired most," says Theo.

“As these tracks were a solo lockdown project, I’ve loved collaborating with Permanent Vacation on the release - particularly the creation of the vinyl. Next up, I can’t wait to play them out IRL in parties this summer.”

Some of these parties include Warehouse Project, Pikes Ibiza and Lost Village Festival. Last month, Kottis held a showcase party for his label Beautiful Strangers at Barcelona's Off Sónar.

The DJ and producer is also fresh off the back of playing parties at Berlin's Panorama Bar and Amsterdam's DGTL.
