An official petition to save Fabric has been posted on Change.org, directly addressed to London Mayer Sadiq Khan.

The urgent matter stems from the deaths of two teenagers at the London club earlier this season, which resulted in the temporary, but potentially final closure of the venue.

Currently on an ongoing 28-day review that ends on September 6th, Fabric released an official statement yesterday concerning their drug procedures and hopes for future plans.

The petition to save Fabric was written by Jacob Husley, a promoter and resident DJ of the club for the past eight years. Husley explains the importance of Fabric to the UK nightlife scene and discusses the all-inclusive, passionate ethos for its fans.

He even goes to mention the famed 70-year-old couple that partied at the club until 5AM, patrons which he personally served and spent time with and acted as a clear symbol of Fabric's far-reaching scope.

Sadiq Khan had announced last week that he would find a solution to keep Fabric open and implement new club-safety tactics, but many artists, labels and fans continue to express grave concern over the possible closing of its doors.

The petition was originally set for 1000 signatures but has since passed its goal within its first hour and now aims for 7500 signees.
