Secret Garden Party adds Róisín Murphy, De La Soul, and more to 2023 bill

Secret Garden Party has finalised its 2023 bill, adding names including Róisín Murphy, Peaches, and 2ManyDJs to its existing line-up.

This year will see some huge returns from the likes of ‘90s outfit Leftfield, one of dance music’s most influential duos and brains behind seminal 1995 album ‘Leftism’, and De La Soul, the heavyweight hip-hop trio from New York who recently made their back catalogue digital after three decades.

Also joining this year’s line-up is drum ‘n’ bass duo Fabio & Grooverider who will be accompanied by The Outlook Orchestra after two sell-out shows at London’s Southbank Centre.

More acts including Biig Piig, Lava La Rue, and Everyone You Know will join this year’s bill, which currently boasts headline sets from Underworld, The Libertines, and Fat Freddy’s Drop.

Elsewhere, Secret Garden Party has announced the return of its classic stages The Dance Off and The Collosillyum, which will be redesigned as The Circus Maximus in 2023. The festival’s lake stage, The Pagoda, will also receive an extension this year.

Other goings on at the 2023 event include parades, immersive theatres, wild swimming, ariel displays, art installations, debates, games, and Secret Garden Party’s usual offering of its Sunday paint fight and firework display.

He.She.They are set to team back up with Secret Garden Party again in 2023 to host their own stage, while the return of stages such as The Dog House, Small World, Chai Wallah’s, and more make a comeback this year.

The theme for SGP’s 21st edition is A New Hope, ‘taking its cue from the greatest sci-fi minds’ and offering to teleport punters through ‘space, time, and other dimensions’.
