Sampha, Thom Yorke, Kendrick Lamar and SZA have been nominated for an Oscar
The artists are all shortlisted for ‘Best Original Song’
The Academy Awards shortlist for ‘Best Original Song’ has been revealed.
Among the 15 nominees are 2017 Mercury Prize Winner Sampha and Radiohead’s Thom Yorke. The pair have been selected for their tracks in Beautiful Boy and Suspiria respectively.
The shortlist aims to expose 'lesser known films and give them a better chance of earning a nomination', according to Variety.
Also on the list are Top Dawg Enterntainment’s Kendrick Lamar and SZA for their turn on the Black Panther soundtrack. Arlissa and Sade also feature.
The 90th Academy Awards takes place on February 25, 2019.
