Ruf Dug launches new alcohol free listening bar in Manchester, Rainy Heart
The pop up will be open for two weeks from Thursdays to Sundays
DJ and NTS host Ruf Dug has opened a new pop-up listening bar in Stretford, Manchester, named Rainy Heart.
The bar will be open for just two weeks in Stretford Mall, just up from Stretford Canteen, featuring local DJs from around the Stretford area.
Rainy Heart opened on Thursday (January 18) and will remain open from Thursdays through Sundays until January 28. It also operates as an alcohol-free space.

“FUCKIN HELL I'M OPENING MY OWN GAFF,” Ruf Dug announced on Instagram last week. “Only for two weeks tho.”
“I have this lovely soundsystem and I’ve harboured a dream of having my own listening bar for a long time and I mentioned this casually in the playground to one of the other school dads.”
He explained: “He knew some ppl, opened a couple of doors for me and here we are, the fuckin Rainy Heart is about to open!”
The hi-fi space will feature a small bar serving alcohol-free beer, filter coffee, and sparkling water only. “Restricted menu because it’s cool and anachronistic,” he joked.

“But also we’ve been granted the space on the condition that we don't step on the toes of the existing businesses and we love them all,” Ruf Rug explains.
Line-ups are kept secret until the day of each event. Following its opening weekend, Ruf Dug took to Instagram saying: “I highly recommend opening your own no-alcohol audiophile bar in an abandoned shopping mall unit with no signage or heating on the coldest and miserablist week of the entire year!”
The Manchester-based DJ hosts his regular NTS show live from Rainy Heart this morning (January 22), broadcasting from 11:AM until 1:PM.
