Room for Rebellion to host a triple club fundraiser in London, Dublin and Belfast

Room for Rebellion has unveiled a new triple event spanning London, Dublin and Belfast.

The pro-choice collective has selected a slew of selectors and club favourites for the string of parties, tapping the likes of Solid Blake, Moxie, Object Blue, Aurora, Violet and Venus Dupree.

The three parties will be hosted in support of an Irish referendum scheduled to take place in May of this year. Currently, the 8th Amendment within the Irish constitution bans abortion in nearly all circumstances. The current law also ignores the UN human rights to bodily autonomy, and sits as one of the strictest abortion laws in the world.

In conversation with Mixmag last year, the promoters behind the event explained, “We see ourselves as a political party,” adding “As long as our governments continue to use women’s bodies as pawns in a political farce, we’ll continue to gather, play music, angry dance and make cash to help people access vital healthcare.”

All proceeds raised by the events will be donated to the cause, helping to fight for abortion rights in Ireland.
