Qrion in The Lab LA

The Lab LA is Mixmag and WAV's weekly live stream and post-work unwind, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our downtown Los Angeles office. This Thursday, we welcome Magnified artist Qrion for her Lab debut in Los Angeles!

Growing up in Sapporo, Japan, Qrion has gone against all odds to become the rising star of electronic music that she is today. Now based in San Francisco, her love of music came from her father, who played in a band and taught her early on about production techniques. Then, shaped and molded by uncovering Japanese and international producers across the Internet, she became a sensation with her SoundCloud uploads. Her music is quirky, dreamy, airy and light, and her latest release - a two-part EP called 'GAF' - encapsulates her promise as a talented producer. She's part of Mixmag and WAV's Magnified program and is making her debut in The Lab LA this week.

On opening duties, we welcome Los Angeles-based duo and Gari Safari artists Mont Blvck. Check out their latest release 'Letting Go' premiered on Mixmag and more from them here.
