Premiere: Lloyd SB's '8ths, 16ths' is a relentless percussive club cut
Get the first listen of the searing Gobstopper Records release
Lloyd SB introduced himself last year with a bunch of supercharged, club-ready cuts fusing elements of grime and techno.
The title track 'Boida Flare' is carried by erratic drum kicks and hyperactive synths, while 'Peach's Palace' is littered with the type of probing shots expected from a space-age shoot 'em up. The six tracks (including a TSVI remix) are the perfect riotous fit for Nervous Horizon, the label it was released on.
One year on he's releasing '8ths, 16ths'/'Princess Anna' on Mr Mitch's Gobstopper Records after a flurry of support from the likes of Murlo, Scratcha DVA and Slackk.
Crying horns ensure '8ths, 16ths' enters in epic fashion before a swirl of rabid, terrifying drums come crashing in. It's a relentless ride that's primed to cause destruction on the dancefloor.
'8ths, 16ths'/'Princess Anna' is released on June 30. Pre-order it here
