Premiere: Glenn Astro’s jazzy house remix of ‘Bossa B’ by Hector Plimmer

London-based rising talent Hector Plimmer revisits material from his standout debut album with a collection of remixes, including Glenn Astro’s intricately arranged version of ‘Bossa B’.

Although his debut album ‘Sunshine’ was just released in 2017, Hector Plimmer is no newcomer to the scene. He co-runs the independent label 92 Points and hosts a monthly radio show on NTS dubbed ‘Is This Thing On? w/ Hector Plimmer’. When he’s in the studio, he fuses organic textures to deliver rhythmic material of all styles, which now has been flipped on its head by Money $ex Records’ co-owner Glenn Astro.

Delivering the essence of his unique approach to music production, Glenn Astro transforms ‘Bossa B’ with amped up energy, driving percussion and moody synths to create a jazzy house anthem. The organic feel of Plimmer’s original work perfectly suites Astro’s knack for intricate music that keeps listeners on their toes with each passing moment.

The ‘Bossa B’ EP, released by Albert’s Favourites, also includes Plimmer’s original and a remix by Deoke. Purchase here
