A new posthumous Marvin Gaye album is on the way
'You’re the Man' is the "lost" follow-up to The Prince of Soul's classic LP 'What’s Going On'
A new Marvin Gaye album, titled 'You're the Man', will be released by Motown on March 29 - four days before what would have been the soul legend's 80th birthday.
This will be the fourth posthumous Marvin Gaye album to hit shelves since the singer's tragic passing in 1984. The 17-track release consists of select solo and "non-soundtrack" compositions that Gaye recorded in his studio in 1972. Besides the forthcoming LP's title track, most of the songs that will feature on the album have not been available until now.
Ahead of the release, the lead single, Salaam Remi’s 'My Last Chance' remix, has been made available for streaming. Listen to the track below.
