Øtta pushes herself to the forefront in forthcoming EP ‘In My 2024 Era’

Øtta has announced her new EP, 'In My 2024 Era'.

Set for release on September 20, its four tracks are a rather full-throttle affair, harnessing the DJ and producer's roots by blending driving techno with Brazilian trance.

With a complex explosive opener, of particular note is track two 'Front 2 The Back' which delves into a fusion of soundscapes, emphasising Brazilian funk elements with nifty drum patterns and playful vocal chants.

Elsewhere, the EP's penultimate cut ramps up the ante with a quivering bassline complementing a bold and unapologetic vocal, whilst 'Voce de 4' brings the body of work to its end in a crescendo-like manner, combining techno, bass and more Brazilian funk rhythms.

“'In My Era' is really about bringing the feeling of summer everywhere – MY era is all about feeling the incredible vibes of music," she explains on the record. "I’ve been changing my style of techno for the past four years; I love pushing this fun, juicy, spicy vibe in the space and these tracks are a testament to that.

"I’m not just starting my new era, I’m in it and I’m owning it. I know you’re going to love this one – so have a kiki, do a twerk and bounce to these tracks all night long."
