Nick Monaco and Ardalan in The Lab LA
A special double header to kick off the weekend
The Lab LA is Mixmag and WAV's weekly live stream and post-work unwind, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our Los Angeles office. This Friday, we welcome a special double headliner Lab with Nick Monaco and Ardalan!
Following the release of his third album, 'Heroin Disco' and his latest collaborative release with Will Clarke called 'Like A Girl', Nick Monaco joins us for a hybrid set in The Lab LA. An exuberant artist through and through, he is a fitting and standout part of the Crew Love collective. Beyond music, he's a vibrant contributor to club culture and a vocal representative of embracing one's sexual identity and most recently, the ongoing opioid epidemic in the United States, which he discusses in an episode of Off Top.
San Francisco-based Ardalan is a fierce staple of the Dirtybird crew, able to charm both his peers and his audiences with his wicked, bouncing productions and selections from dancefloor to dancefloor. His latest release sees him teaming up with Justin Martin on an EP called 'Yonder', which will be out on Christian Martin's imprint, Trippy Ass Technologies this Friday.
On opening duties, we welcome Los Angeles-based Jessie Calistri, co-founder of the Xenophile Collective. Find more from her here.
To gain entry to The Lab LA, patrons must be signed up to WAV. All you have to do is visit wav.mixmag.net to download the app. We'll see you on the dancefloor!
