Mama Snake's Amniote Editions celebrates five years since inaugural capsule

Mama Snake's Amniote Editions is celebrating five years since its inaugural capsule by inviting artists who have contributed to previous capsule instalments across its existence to dig into the back catalogue of the label and create their own unique take. In doing so, to kick off celebrations, 'ECDYSIS' - a remix compilation - is set for release on October 25.

Of particular note across its 12 tracks, Mac Declos remixes Mehen's 'Skin Confessions' - which you can check out now here - Intellagama (aka Hasvat Informant) takes on a more emotional rework of Sisilisko's 'Behind The Sun' and Amuwa offers a half-time, spaced-out version of Jörmungandr’s 'Skogsrå'.

Other remixers include Nature Boy, Monophonik and Riva, DJ Tool, Horny Toad, Suzhen Bai, Jörmungandr, DINA, Aepep and Sisilisko.

"We are excited to have artists who have trusted us with their music over the years dig into the sonic history of the label and remix each other," says Mama Snake. "We think it is both a nice connecting experience for the people we work with and also a nice way of celebrating the music we have released over these past five years. As always we want to extend our gratitude to everyone involved making the label project what it is today."

The celebrations aren't stopping there, though: the rest of 2024 is dedicated to an extensive period of celebration whereby a debut album by Spekki Webu under his Amniote moniker Heliobolus is set for release, a collaborative jewellery collection with a Copenhagen silver brand, and an intercontinental label tour.
