London venue Dockyards to relaunch as Silverworks Island this weekend

The London-based venue, Dockyards, has announced it will be re-opening this weekend under a new name, Silverworks Island.

Operated by the owners of the former Dockyards venue, Broadwick Live, the space is said to “remain the same” despite the name change — with a capacity of 20,000 people and an open-air concept.

The venue will host its grand reopening this Saturday (July 1) with a takeover from tech-house imprint Solid Grooves — Dennis Cruz, Jamie Jones, Joseph Capriati, Skream and many more, are set to perform.

While on Sunday (July 2) Silverworks Island will play host to a showcase from Armin van Buuren's A State Of Trance label.

On the following weekend, the venue will be the setting of the Filipino-electronic festival 1MX LDN Music Festival which has a line-up of Ben & Ben, Yuna, Moira, Johnny Orlando, Janine Berdin, Maymay and Clara Rosa.

The venue overlooks the river in Silvertown Quays and includes state-of-the-art production along with three outdoor stages, food stalls and a VIP area.
