LOFT to debut on Tri Angle with new EP, 'and departt from mono games'
Tune into lead single ‘That Hyde Trakk’ now
Tri Angle Records will release a new EP from Manchester-based artist LOFT in May.
Titled ‘and departt from mono games’, the EP has been described as a continuation of LOFT's sonic journey.
"'and departt from mono games' digests the crisis of identity I experienced across the time of writing,” says LOFT via a press release. “Everything on this record has been consolidated into a final state, reimported and rearranged; a reflection of the splintering and recombination of my self-image...This is an aggregate of 3 years of instability.”
Lead single, ‘That Hyde Trackk’, landed alongside the EP announcement and reworks '90s d'n'b motifs into an experimental offering complete with twisted, ambient synths.
As longtime fans of LOFT here at Mixmag, we’ve premeried a string of her outings on innovative LA-based imprint Astral Plane Recordings over the years. Elsewhere, in 2018 LOFT released a free compilation of edits and bootlegs titled ‘ell oh eff tea too oh won ate’. The comp features reworks of Ariana Grande, Carly Rae Jepsen and more.
‘and departt from mono games’ lands on May 3 via Tri Angle. Check out the EPs artwork, and tune into single ‘That Hyde Trakk’ below.
