Studio Barnhus co-founder Kornél Kovács has just dropped a new single featuring Costa Rican vocalist MishCatt.

‘Get Goofy’ is out now and will also feature on his upcoming album 'Hotel Koko', set to drop next month.

The new high-energy track comes just weeks after the release of 'Follow You'.

Features on 'Hotel Koko' include, "techno boy band" Off The Meds as well as vocalist Kamohelo.

Kovács has been working with studio engineer Matt Karmil and jazz musician Niclas Skagstedt across many tracks on the concept album, that is “centred around a fictional, dreamlike place” Kovács explains.

"I have a lot of people stay in my flat in Stockholm while touring. At one point I wrote down some basic information and silly “house rules” on a paper, making it look like stationery for a “Hotel Koko”. I found that piece of paper while cleaning my flat a while back, that’s when the idea and the album title fell into place.

“I think all hotels, from the shabbiest to the most luxurious, have a sense of fantasy and mystique about them, they’re these “liminal spaces” if you will, where anything could happen behind the locked hotel room doors.”

Kovács' last album 'Stockholm Marathon' came out in 2019 with smaller projects being released in the meantime such as his EP 'KK Remixes'.
