Although one of the newest imprints in the poll, L.I.E.S. (Long Island Electrical Systems) is also one of the most diverse and eclectic labels on the planet. Helmed by Ron Morelli, it’s beautifully hard to pin-point what sort of music will be released next. House, techno, acid, industrial noise; the list goes on and with artists like Delroy Edwards, Randomer, Willie Burns, Gunnar Haslam and Xosar having contributed, it’s got a golden stamp of underground approval. The list of producers involved is staggering and in seven years Morelli has put out over 120 releases, and nine times out of ten the quality is extremely high.
