Hudson Mohawke announces new album 'Cry Sugar'

Hudson Mohawke has just announced his new album 'Cry Sugar' which is set to be out on August 12 through Warp Records.

'Cry Sugar' will be Hudson's third album, and will provide clubbers with high-energy, euphoric dancefloor tunes.

Mohawke has tuned in his ongoing passion for fusing all things club culture and high culture, all while swapping in his history in gloomy crawling club tracks with his Glaswegian touch for a specially composed, eclectic club-ready album.

Inspired by 90s John Williams, film scores and spectacular soundtracks - 'Cry Sugar' is a skillfully composed project which features the many emotions that you can expect when watching a film, all while being inspired to dance.

Hudson announced the new album on social media yesterday, writing: "I have a new album". Warp Records describes this album as "a demented OST to score the twilight of our cultural meltdown" on its Instagram page.

With the announcement of 'Cry Sugar' the album, Hudson has also released a new single 'Cry Sugar (Megamix)' / 'Bicstan', which are available to listen to now.

The track fuses genre and influence and is opened by racy synths which soon drop into deep bass, before picking up the tempo and adding piano synths laced with melodic vocals.

The track takes listeners on a journey and leaves you waiting for what is yet to come on Hudson's upcoming eclectic and rave-ready album.
