Pfizer doses were given out in response to low vaccination rates amongst young people, with first dose uptake for under 30s below two thirds.
Amanda Pritchard, the chief executive of the NHS has noted that under 35s make up a fifth of all those hospitalised due to COVID.
Walk-in appointments, as well as pre-booking, were available for the vaccinations - which come after news that nightclubs may require clubbers to be double jabbed in order to gain entry.
Speaking about the vaccination drive, Jeremy Joseph, the owner of Heaven, said:
“It is important we all do our bit and encourage each other to get vaccinated – not just because you might soon need a vaccine passport to enter nightclubs, but because we want everyone to party safely.”
Similar events have taken place in Germany, and Ministry of Sound will also be offering vaccinations this weekend.
