Four Tet shares first single from forthcoming album, ‘Loved’

Four Tet has returned with a brand new track on his own imprint, Text Records, set to appear on his forthcoming album.

‘Loved’ landed yesterday, January 10, after the producer teased it in Instagram stories. “Loved is the first track on the new album which is coming soon,” he told fans.

“Just finishing the artwork and making the vinyl and CDs,” he added, dropping a snippet of the track - a downtempo, synth-led cut reminiscent of his early works.

The track is due to appear on a brand new album from Four Tet, real name Keiran Hebden, marking his 12th studio record and his first full-length release in three years.

“TEXT055 soon,” he tweeted last April, alluding to the next record in his Text Records catalogue, adding: “I'm working on the new album”.

The next record from Four Tet will be his first under the alias since ‘Parallel’, a 10-track surprise release which landed on Christmas Day of 2020. The record followed the release of a planned LP titled ‘871’ just a day earlier.

It was donated as part of Resident Advisor’s pop-up record fair in aid of The Right To Dance, a fundraising platform supporting children affected by war through collaborative efforts in dance music.
