This year is the one-year anniversary of Flying Lotus’ 2019 album ‘Flamagra’. To celebrate, he released ‘Flamagra (Instrumentals)’ on May 29 this year, an intimate instrumental album that shines the spotlight on FlyLo’s production.

To keep the party going, Flying Lotus and Denzel Curry have issued the #BLACKBALLOONSCHALLENGE.

Denzel Curry featured on the ‘Flamagra’ track ‘Black Balloons Reprise’. Following the release of ‘Flamagra (Instrumentals)’, the instrumental version of ‘Black Balloons Reprise’ has been made available for free download via Flying Lotus’ Soundcloud.

The challenge is to submit a video or audio of yourself rapping your own bars via Soundcloud, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook or TikTok. Just use the hashtag #BLACKBALLOONSCHALLENGE to be in with a chance of winning some prizes, including a Flying Lotus merch package, a free Pro-Unlimited subscription from Soundcloud, and the chance to have your remix shared on socials by Flying Lotus and Denzel Curry.

The competition closes on Wednesday July 15 at midnight Pacific Time.
