A new 15,000-capacity warehouse venue is opening in London

London is set to welcome a brand new venue, DRUMSHEDS.

Located in Meridian Water, four minutes from Tottenham Hale underground, in a former IKEA warehouse, the 608,000 square foot space claims to be “more impactful than anything London has seen” with the objective to “inspire, connect and create massive impact through music, culture and space”.

Created and curated by Broadwick, the team behind Printworks, The Beams, Depot Mayfield and more, the 15,000-capacity warehouse venue is said to have a “totally new concept” to the previous nightclub, The Drumsheds, which was located nearby in Meridian Water and closed in early 2022.

DRUMSHEDS will open this September. Some original features of the warehouse will stay intact, including lift shafts, loading bays, sprawling floors and machinery.

The venue will also be available to hire via Broadwick’s Spaces division, as it is planning to showcase set builds, fashion shows, music events and brand activations.

The full opening programme will be out soon, featuring a mixture of “culture events”.

Simeon Aldred, Director of Strategy, Broadwick says: “Broadwick’s mission has always been to build brands that deliver unrivaled, live experiences that create real impact. We are proud to announce DRUMSHEDS, set to be London’s most impactful cultural space of its kind, set across 608,000 sqft in North London.

He continues: “We want Drumsheds, like all the spaces we create, to be new centres of cultural gravity that provide the basis for human connection. A connection that people crave now more than ever.”

Broadwick explains in a press release statement that it will also be working with the local authorities on how it can support the surrounding community with employment in the new space, in addition to free ticket schemes.
