DJ ADHD is the next to release on Dr Dubplate's ec2a label

DJ ADHD is gearing up to share his latest EP, 'OPM008', featuring remixes by Jossy Mitsu and Mia Koden.

Landing on October 11 via Dr Dubplate's ec2a imprint, it's another offering of DJ ADHD's trademark 909-fuelled style with addictive snaps, rebounds and beyond.

"This project has been two years in the making and I couldn't be more excited to be getting it out to the world," labelhead Dr Dubplate says on the release. "There's no better feeling than working with people you admire and respect and this project feels like the best follow up to the last release from INVT and Introspekt! In my opinion it's a true reflection of the diverse sounds that we represent here at the label and I cannot wait to drop the project for everyone to enjoy."

"I’m super happy to finally be getting these tunes out on OPM after testing them out for years," adds DJJ ADHD. "These are two tunes that were both made at very different times in my career but somehow cohesively fit together to show a new side to my productions with familiar sounds. Getting Mia Koden and Jossy Mitsu on the record to remix the tracks couldn’t have been a better fit, putting their own unique spins on the tunes."

Opener 'DL Underground' boasts hefty Eski influence, and Jossy Mitsu provides an accompanying remix to flip the track into a bass-focused affair. Think raucous, punching claps and lashings of techno breakbeats.

Elsewhere, 'Precision' is of particular standout which welcomes a nonsensical vocal style overlaying its pumping drums. Its stomping melody builds the cut further, whilst Mia Koden's remix entirely shakes up the original by introducing a haunting, nostalgic dubstep atmosphere.

It's a busy year for ec2a, having just announced its fifth birthday celebrations by announcing a takeover of fabric next month.
