Dekmantel 2021 has been postponed

The organisers of Dekmantel festival have announced that the 2021 edition of the festival has been postponed as a result of a rise in COVID cases in The Netherlands.

In a statement the organisers provided clarity about the situation, saying:

“A couple of weeks ago the Dutch government officially allowed all event promoters to organise outdoor events. Today, due to a sharp rise in positive cases, as a result of a failing public test system, the same government decided to abruptly revert this policy and has prohibited all outdoor events until August 13th”

“When a couple of weeks ago the green light was given, we were on the verge of cancelling our festival due to the short preparation time. However, with the government’s blessing, we started working around the clock with a dedicated but decimated crew to make the festival a reality."

"The last few weeks we’ve adapted to these extraordinary circumstances as best as possible. It’s very painful to face the reality that we are unable to deliver an amazing festival, and that all our work has been for nothing, for the second year in a row.” They continued.

The festival was set to feature Fjaak, Floating Points, Objekt, Talismann and a host of others before it was cancelled.
