Courtesy launches new label, Kulør, with Copenhagen techno compilation
Featuring 10 tracks by producers from the Danish capital
Danish DJ Courtesy is launching a new record label called Kulør (´Colorful’ in Danish) on October this year.
Kulør will kick off with 'Kulør 001', a 10-track compilation of techno from Copenhagen producers, opened with a track by Martin Schacke, who has been supported by the likes of Nina Kraviz.
Courtesy describes the label as “a platform where I have as high ambitions with the visual aspects as I have with the music.”
She added: “Sonically there’s something wild happening in Copenhagen at the moment, and I hope this compilation can act as a point of reference for people to start digging into the magic that these guys are creating.”
Courtesy has counted on the help of Fee-Gloria Groenemeyer and Spine Studio for the photography and graphic design of the project respectively.
A launch event will be hosted at Percy Records in Copenhagen on October 11.
Courtesy was recently featured in Mixmag as she visited Tbilisi in Georgia after the club raids and protests.
Pre-order 'Kulør 001' on the label's Bandcamp page.
