COLORS platform announces TONES Paris, promises to put a "spin" on traditional festival formats

Revered show platform COLORS has announced the latest instalment of its new large-scale event project TONES, set to take place in Paris later this year.

Between October 21 and 27, an "extended city-wide programme" is promised, offered as a multi-disciplinary concept with guests able to indulge in art and design, workshops and talks and music, with each TONES instalment - the first taking place in New York City at the beginning of October featuring names including Mustafa, Moses Sumney, Naomi Sharon, Bellah - "built within the city", "interactive" and "curated to reflect a diverse and colorful range of interests".

Whilst the wider cultural programming will be announced closer to the time, COLORS has shared its curated musical offering taking place across October 26 and 27 at La Seine Musicale.

James Blake (pictured) is lined up to perform an intimate piano show centred around audience connection, whilst South African vocal group The Joy, rapper TIF and Palestinian-Jordanian artist Saint Levant are also on the billing.

There is a promise to showcase local talent too, with KOBA LAD flying the flag for French rap on day two of the music. Jolagreen23 and London's Bawo also step up, whilst Naika, Amanda Reifer and Samara Cyn also join to contribute their offerings of RnB, soul and beyond.

"TONES OF will partner with both established and next-gen of cultural pioneers to collaboratively curate each event, delivering rich shared experiences that reflect each cities vibrant palette," reads its press release. "TONES OF will connect live acts, DJs, artists, community projects, fashion brands, style heads, creatives, foodies and more to deliver talks, workshops, pop-up events, Q&A sessions, and of course, parties and lots of live music.

"Each city will have its own visual identity and COLOR PALETTE that explores the city’s current situation - separating from established tones that are already associated with the city."
