Juno Mamba shares new EP 'Cold Rush'
“This is the first record I’ve made where I could hear a sound in my head and I was able to create exactly what I was after"
Juno Mamba has shared his new EP, 'Cold Rush'.
Both euphoric and emotive, across seven tracks the Filipino-Australian artist embarks on a deeply stirring and personal journey dedicated to his hometown of Ballarat (and, more specifically, acts as an extension of his 2021 track 'Blue Light' - EP track 'Too Close', Mamba explains, "digs deeper into my first experience of underage club nights in Ballarat; relationships that move way too fast and finding yourself lost in it all").

Each track meanders through a deeply thought-out pathway of euphoric electronica, with a club-focused tip. Mamba takes a diaristic approach - particularly on opening track 'undrcut' addressing "constantly trying to fit in" and later track 'Together' which "celebrates the people who made tougher times easier when I was a kid" - throughout the body of work, which welcomes soft soundscapes to navigate harder hitting topics.
“This is the first record I’ve made where I could hear a sound in my head and I was able to create exactly what I was after,” he notes on his fourth EP. “It felt like my production ability caught up to my imagination.”
To accompany the release, Juno Mamba has shared a live session performing 'Cold Rush' in full. Recorded at Abbotsford Convent’s Magdalen Laundry, Mamba teamed up with Michael Belsar to form an exclusive live duo setup, surrounded by hardware.
