French electronic duo, Justice, featured nearly 18 minutes of music in the Paris Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday evening (August 11).

A medley of some of the band's most famous tracks featured in the show, including tracks like ‘Genesis’, ‘Love S.O.S.’, and ‘The End’ — as 2024 Olympic athletes entered the Stade de France, and the torch was passed to the next host city, Los Angeles.

‘The End’, featuring Thundercat, is from Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay's newest album, ‘Hyperdrama’, released in April this year.

Their first studio album in eight years, 'Hyperdrama' marks Justice's return to the electronic music scene. Having debuted it at Coachella in April, the duo has taken their album on a worldwide tour this summer, with a headline set at London's Field Day scheduled for August 24.

The Olympic ceremony, designed by artistic director Thomas Jolly, also featured music by several other French acts including electro-pop band Phoenix, the musical duo Air and DJ/producer Kavinsky, along with a performance from singer Yseult of ‘My Way’, originally a French song that was rearranged in English for Frank Sinatra.

Meanwhile, LA's part of the handover celebration saw native acts Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish and Snoop Dogg playing out from Venice Beach.

Tom Cruise however appeared in person, dramatically abseiling into the Stade de France as if he were floating and then making off with the Olympic flag on a motorbike.
