Ceri relaunches label Find Your Own Records, reissues past releases digitally

Ceri has relaunched her popular label Find Your Own Records, announcing the digital reissue of her imprint's previous vinyl-only releases.

This week (July 28) saw the digital release of FY001, 'Life Holstee', with FY002 'I Need You To Make Me Sweat' set for digital release on August 25.

Both tracks previously sold out upon their vinyl release, with support from names including Ben UFO, Midland and Move D.

The label relaunch was accompanied by the announcement of Find Your Own's third release, FYO003 - 'Higher EP' - which includes a new alias for the DJ and producer in collaboration with Alex Arnout, CnA. Its A-side comprises of a summer-primed upbeat house cut, with the B-side a mysterious slice of breaks-influenced techno.

"I am really happy to finally be relaunching my label, including a new collaboration alias, for the next release," Ceri explains on the release, which is due on September 29 both digitally and on vinyl. "I hope it has been worth the wait; I take a quality over quantity approach to music (and life really), so I only do things that feel right in my soul and now feels like the right time after quite a few delays. I have got some amazing things coming up, including more collaborations and remixes from producers I love, and my first time ever writing and recording my own vocals.

"The label is inspired by Detroit techno and Chicago house, with some Berlin, New York and London flavour thrown in for good measure. I want the label to reflect my style as a DJ, which is a mixture of all different shades at the right time.

"All the releases present three tracks that are unique and different from each other, rather than three tracks that sound the same. Even though the music I like, play and make, has a 'sound', within that sound comes music for different moods and experiences, I like music that has a timeless underground feel.

The first release A-side was dark, deep Detroit techno, the B-side was minimal house, and the remix was more soulful. For the second release, the A side was deep house, the B side was deep house, and the remix was more techno / house. The third release A side is House, the B side is breaksy techno and the remix is deep dubby house.

"Up until now I have not done any collaborations, I guess because I wanted to prove to the world - and myself - that I could make and release music successfully on my own, which I did. Alex (Arnout) and I got in the studio a few times and had fun and made some great tracks together, so decided to launch our new collaboration alias CnA for this music, and this is the first of many from us. I have loved his music for many, many years so it is a pleasure to work together. On the remix is SE62, another producer I have loved for many years, so it's a great comeback for the label, and the first of many releases to come".
