The event, which is taking place on Wednesday, June 22, is raising funds for a legal action fund for The Save Brick Lane Coalition.

The event is organised in part by London-based rapper and underground rising star Surya Sen who has told Mixmag that he's "excited about the event which is raising funds for a really important cause".

Surya Sen is working with Nijjor Manush, an independent campaigning group that aims to educate, empower and organise Bengalis and Bangladeshis in the UK.

The Save Brick Lane Coalition is taking Tower Hamlets Council to the High Court on June 29 and 30. They are challenging the Truman Brewery planning application, which is planning to build a shopping mall in Brick Lane, and £15,000 is needed in legal fees.
