"I'm excited to curate five years of the label showcasing its wide style from early Pansonic sparse industrial techno to wave and synthpunk tied together by bursting electronic rhythm, shedding its skin and evolving, from new and old friends," explains Phase Fatale on the release.
In its five years of existence, the label has shared over 25 releases aiming to showcase both emerging and well-established artists sharing a common ambition to push the boundaries of techno. Whilst touching upon a range of styles under the genre's umbrella - from sparse industrial sounds to italo body sounds - it has attempted to mould a community around its existence of those attracted to the romanticism found deep within techno soundscapes.
BITE has also hosted label showcases at Berghain, Tbilisi’s KHIDI, New York’s Basement and other global locations including Los Angeles, Tokyo and Seoul.
