Autechre release new collection of live recordings for the first time
The duo recorded the newly released sets at shows across 2023 and 2024
Manchester duo Autechre have released 12 brand new live recordings from their sets spanning 2023 - 2024, titled AE_LIVE 2022, out now via Warp.
The surprise releases landed yesterday, November 4, on Autechre’s official website, featuring 12 new recordings as both lossless WAV files, MP3, and FLAC.
The sets were recorded throughout a string of shows from Autechre across Europe, as well as two stops in Australia - Sydney and Melbourne.

Live recordings from the pair’s European shows include Lisbon, Rennes, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Brussels, Dublin, Venice, Lyon, and Krems.
It adds to a previously released collection of recordings from Autechre in 2022 under the same name, featuring sets in cities including Milan, Athens, and two sets recorded in London.
AE_LIVE 2022 is available to buy now via Autechre’s store exclusively, and can be purchased as a collection or individually. Those who purchased Autechre’s last collection of live recordings will receive a discount, the website states.

The collection follows the release of an unheard remix from Autechre of Russell Haswell’s 'Heavy Handed Sunset’. The remix reworked another remix from Autechre released in 2016, 'Heavy Handed Sunset (Autechre Conformity Version)’.
Last year, Autechre released a surprise 330+ minute mix to celebrate the re-release of their 1992 compilation record released via Warp, ‘Artificial Intelligence’.
Celebrating 30 years since its initial release, the duo put together a 5.5-hour mix featuring almost 100 different artists who individually inspired the duo in the early ‘90s.
