Arturia unveils the MatrixBrute
Is this the most powerful analogue synth ever?
Arturia is set to launch a new analogue synthesizer called the MatrixBrute in Spring 2016. The French company is labelling it as "the most powerful analogue synthesizer ever created."
It's a formidable looking piece of kit, featuring 49 keys, 12 CV inputs and outputs, and analogue effects such as chorus, delay, flanger and three oscillators that are backed with sub generators.
The semi-modular design comes with 16 modulation sources and 16 modulation destinations that can be routed via a grid matrix, which additionally functions as a 64-step sequencer. You also save your patches on the synth's inbuilt memory.
Price details are currently unannounced, keep an eye on Mixmag.net/tech for further details.
