Artifact
The Bristol-based producer goes deep
Anja Schneider's Mobilee imprint is one of our favourite labels around. The output is always a mixture of on-point house and side-winding techno and it never fails to go down in the club.
That same musical mentality has been transferred to sister-label Leena and since 2007 we've been treated to EPs from the likes of Catz N Dogz, Rodriguez Jr, Alexi Delano and Nicole Moudaber.
However now it's time to focus on Leena's 50th record and Bristol-based producer Artifact has been entrusted with the prestigious release. We've been steadily impressed by Artifact and with EPs having come via Saints and Sonnets, Mad Tech, Rebirth, and Halocyan, his discography is building up nicely.
'Galaxy' is a thunderous cut to say the least and has rumbling, tribal percussion at its very core. Add to that thick, brooding drops, emotion-laced vocals and a venomous acidic twang and you've got a track that's equipped to do serious damage.
The deeper, darker sound the producer has been pushing has once again been applied to this new one and we're confident you're going to love it.
The 'Galaxy' EP by Artifact will be released on March 18 via Leena Music
