Over the weekend, the active Michael Jackson Twitter account posted an intriguing, albeit vague trailer for an upcoming project called 'Scream', set to release on September 29.

The format of 'Scream' has yet to be confirmed, with only equally mysterious hints dropped by John Branca, co-executor of the late icon's estate, who suggested that more material could be coming soon after the premiere of a 3-D version of the celebrated 1983 'Thriller' video released in a recent interview with Variety.

“Now we have ‘Thriller’ 3-D, and two more announcements are coming up in the next couple of weeks,” Branca hinted, refusing to go into further detail. “Michael had an expression: ‘The quality goes in before the name goes on.’ So we are not ready to announce them yet.”

Though fans on Twitter have speculated that 'Scream' might be an album, Braca had addressed the matter, explaining that he "didn't foresee releasing any more unreleased music for quite some time". However, he did leave the possibility open by adding: “That doesn’t mean there won’t be interesting record releases in the very near future.”

Based on Braca's comments and the trailer video, it seems likely that 'Scream' could turn out to be a Halloween-themed compilation.
