The first junglist to receive three BRIT nominations, and also earning a Mercury Prize nod, all-the-while having helped popularise her genre for the next generation, it’s not surprising that her pivot to label head would be subject to a similar trailblazing aptitude. The debut single on her newly-minuted imprint Up Ya Archives, ‘Get Loose’ sees Archives collaborate with up-and-coming Bristol producer Cheetah for a soca-meets-jungle banger that ping-pongs between knee-shattering amen breaks and buoyant bass — complete with Archives’ vocals commanding the listener to “Get Loose”.
