Is it just us or has Canada slowly turned into the centre of the musical universe? Once guilty of birthing Bryan Adams and Céline Dion, the country’s been on a roll of late with stars like Kaytranada, Drake and the Weeknd. Next to blow up is Toronto producer River Tiber, who drops his debut album ‘Indigo’ this month. He had songwriting credits on Drake’s ‘If You’re Reading This…’ and popped up on Kaytranada’s album too. But the multi-instrumentalist can hold his own with expertly crafted, spaced-out and soulful hip hop. Expect big things.
