Berghaus going back to their roots with Dean Street collection
Delving deep into their archives, the British brand have reworked some iconic outerwear pieces
As we enter the season of rain and big coats, it’s only natural that iconic outdoor brand Berghaus are set to release their new archive offering entitled: Dean Street collection.
Paying homage to their original birthplace of Newcastle, Berghaus celebrate their rich heritage and explore their archives dating back to the 1980s.

Shot by Rosie Matheson, the new look book sees the brand shot across the streets of Newcastle. Capturing the true spirit of the brands humble beginnings before it became a globally recognised brand.
The Dean Street collection will see the re-release of classic pieces; The Windshirt '90, a style integral to Berghaus' history that has since been mimicked throughout fashion. Embodying the feeling of nostalgia of past eras, the collection plays on the rave scenes of the 90s, Manchester Britpop and terrace culture with the styles incorporating logos and trims from each original piece.

Berghaus originally made its debut in 1966 in a mountaineering shop called the LD Mountain Centre. The store was located on Newcastle's Dean Street and throughout the Sensitivity: Operational 70s, 80s and 90s, Berghaus was both at the forefront of outdoor innovation and embraced by climbers and youth culture alike.
The first drop of the Dean Street collection will launch on October 14th and is available on Berghaus.com.
