There’s something for everyone at Wilderness
Wilderness always delivers. The festival’s ninth season took place in Oxfordshire’s Cornbury Park last weekend across August 1 to 4, and once again it was a wide-ranging celebration of music, art, food, talks, performances, yoga and more.
There’s something for everyone at Wilderness, and the atmosphere across the weekend felt vibrant and carefree as the audience moved through the lush grounds getting involved in whatever takes their fancy.
Robyn stole the show among the headliners, captivating the crowd with her heartfelt and spirit-lifting pop anthems. George FitzGerald had previously teed her up perfectly with a set of soaring electronica.
For dance fans, The Valley is the spot. The rave pit dug into a tucked away ravine hosted the likes of Erol Alkan and Honey Dijon, who moved through rolling electro and pumping house while lasers spiralled above to add to the heady concoction.
A number of engaging talks from the likes of visionary poet Lemn Sissay and Oscar-winning actress Olivia Colman took place in the day, while the offer of yoga sessions helped shake off the morning cobwebs.
Food offerings help Wilderness stand out as second-to-none with delectable offerings from cehfs such as Tom Aikens, Nieves Barragan and Yossi Elad available. Fine tipples and uplifting DJ sets were also served up at the Veuve Clicquot Champagne Garden.
