Merging first class lighting, stage design and music, Flextival served up an audio-visual feast for the senses
Dena Amy performed a mesmerising DJ set at Samsung Galaxy's intimate Flextival last week, transfixing the crowd with both the music and accompanying visuals.
The DJ, singer, producer and champion of musical freedom brought infectious energy to the decks, treating the crowd to a typically eclectic blend of genres. She navigated musical twists and turns with a deftness befitting of her former life as a pro ballerina, keeping the dancefloor hooked.
Flextival was an all-new immersive experience celebrating the launch of Samsung Galaxy's latest fourth-gen foldable devices, Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4.
The event was aimed at transforming the raver experience. It brought together elements of a classic club night and pushed things up a notch with high production levels, making for a thrilling audio-visual spectacle.
Featuring a six-metre high LED stage design echoing the new Samsung Galaxy Z series foldable devices, the backdrop of colourful screens saw the work of digital creators spilling across the stage at every angle, lighting up the booth where DJs laid the stellar soundtrack.
PNAU headlined with a one-off DJ set that blew the minds of Flextival-goers, spinning the distinct style of euphoric house which has made them legends of Australian dance music. The vibes were on point throughout the trio's set, signalling that Australia's long months of lockdown are well and truly over and the party appetite is back in full swing.
Alongside PNAU's DJ set headline slot and Dena Amy, additional acts on the Flextival bill included Set Mo, Stacie Fields, dameeeela, Troy Beman and Madami, packing a heady punch of high-energy dance music and rap. Shantan Wantan Ichiban was MCing through the evening to keep the energy levels at maximum with his commanding bars.
