Volta Create launches update, enables high-quality visual creation for all

No matter the budget or skill level of the artist, the new version has everyone covered

Volta - a free, DIY XR creation platform - has announced an update to Volta Create.

XR entails concepts such as augmented reality, virtual reality and mixed reality, allowing artists to enhance their shows by creating a multi-sensory affair should they wish to.

The latest rollout allows artists who want to create accompanying visuals for their performances to do so regardless of budget - because it's free - and skillset, granting creators the use of designs utilised by names such as Bonobo, Jamie Jones and TSHA during their shows at Glastonbury Festival.

Whilst possible to use your visuals when playing out live to a crowd, they can be also streamed on social medias Twitch, YouTube, Mixcloud or Tik Tok.

One of those who took advantage of this is DJ Yoda, who used the Volta Create platform to design and livestream a recent set on Twitch. “Volta and I built the first iteration of my new live stream set ‘Cinema Yoda’," he explains.

"Various camera angles allowed the stream to showcase not only an XR world I have wanted to make for a long time but a new way to show off my turntables within it. My audience could step into the world of DJ Yoda both musically and visually."

Ibiza's Amnesia also utilised the tools of Volta Create this summer, testing out the offerings of the update which include a new graphic generator allowing text, shapes, gradient and kaleidoscope effects, links to Ableton and a smoother, more reliable interface to toggle between your pre-created visuals.
