Twisted Festival announce postponement until 2023
Just weeks before the grassroots festival was due to go ahead
Grassroots electronic music festival Twisted has announced its postponement until 2023.
Set to take place for the second time from August 5 - 7 in North West London, the festival yesterday announced that it will no longer go ahead due to an undersell of tickets to this year’s event.
“It is with huge sadness and disappointment that we have decided to postpone this year's Twisted Festival,” the festival posted on Instagram yesterday, July 20.

“Due to the current financial climate and slow movement/last-minute purchase of tickets, unfortunately it is not viable for us to proceed with this year's festival.”
Twisted first went ahead in 2021 in a “whirlwind debut” following a short five weeks of planning, but proved successful and later promising a second edition taking place this summer.
Speaking to Mixmag, Twisted organisers said: "It was a really difficult and disappointing decision postponing this year’s Twisted Festival after so much planning. With people buying more tickets last minute than ever, it is tough for small grassroots festivals like us to go ahead.
The response from artists and ticket holders has been amazing, and as a team, this is a great opportunity for us to reflect, improve and grow our community in the interim to make Twisted 2023 better than ever."
This year, Twisted was due to showcase artists including Angel D’Lite, Heels & Souls, Papa Nugs, Raw Silk, Shanti Celeste, and Mixtress at its grounds of Valence End Farm near Luton.
“Despite scaling back production and costs, it remains of paramount importance to us that Twisted delivers the utmost in terms of safety, community, and quality. To continue under these circumstances would put us at significant financial risk,” the team added in an Instagram post.

“We would like to thank all of the people who have bought tickets so far, attended our parties, shared our posts, worked with us, advised, taught and helped us get to this point.”
The intimate electronic festival promises to be back next year, “bigger and better than ever”. The line-up has rolled over to June 2023 when the next edition is due to go ahead.
“Rest assured we will be back. We will use this time to reflect, grow, improve and work on developing Twisted further and to return bigger and better than ever in 2023.”
Twisted Festival will take place from June 30 – July 2, 2023. Find out more about Twisted and sign up for the event’s 2023 edition here.
