Tiësto drops new track ‘Hot in It’ with Charli XCX

The highly-anticipated release will also feature on Tiësto’s upcoming album

Tiësto and Charli XCX have finally released their new track ‘Hot in It’.

The single is released in the lead up to Dutch DJ Tiësto's new album, which he previously said he expects will land this year, marking the follow-up to his 2020 LP ‘The London Sessions’.

“I knew from the second I heard Charli’s cut on the song that it was going to be a smash, and it’s been amazing to see how everyone has been reacting to the message of the song,” Tiësto remarked in a statement. “The heat on this one is incredible, so excited it’s finally out in the world!”

Charli XCX added, “I’m very excited to get hot in it this summer.”

Charli also told Apple Music’s ‘The Zane Lowe Show’ that the track felt “very me” when she heard it from Tiësto.

“I was so honoured when I got the call, to be honest because I feel like we’ve been in each other’s ether for many, many years and nothing’s ever quite happened, but I’m so happy that we waited for this song because it truly is an Anthem,” she said. “Everybody wants to just party to this song. It’s back to my roots.”

In May, Charli teased the then unreleased song on her TikTok with her getting ready for a gala at Cannes Film Festival, lip-syncing along to the lyrics, “I’m gon’ be rockin’ it, droppin’ it, shake my ass, I’m stopping it, I look hot in it, hot in it, I look hot in it".

This isn't the first time Charli has worked with Tiësto, having previously had the famed Dutch DJ and producer remix her 2015 track 'Break The Rules'.

Earlier this month, Charli played an out-of-this-world metaverse concert hosted on the Roblox platform.
