The most complete Supreme collection to be auctioned at Sotheby's

'The Supreme Vault: 1998 - 2018' collection features 1,300 items for sale

Sotheby’s has announced it will auction off "the most complete collection of Supreme accessories in private hands" this month.

Dubbed The Supreme Vault: 1998 - 2018, the extensive collection was assembled by U.S. based collector Yukio Takahashi over the course of 20 years. It includes the rare Stern Pinball machine, Everlast boxing series (including the heavy bag), Coleman Motorbike, and over one thousand other items ranging in price and rarity.

With regards to selling off his Supreme collection, Yukio Takahashi expressed to Hypebeast that now seemed like the perfect time to pass it on: “What makes Supreme’s accessories the most exciting part of their product line is its unpredictability, multifacetedness and genius choices in collaborations. I have enjoyed collecting Supreme for nearly a decade and the process and result have both surpassed expectations. Now it is complete to the best of my knowledge and is at a good stopping place. Once Sotheby’s was mentioned, I recognised there would be no better way to sign off. Exemplified by their NIGOLDENEYE® sale, the capabilities of Sotheby’s are second to none.”

The collection of 1,300 items is being offered with no reserve, in group lots and single lots. The sale will begin on May 8 with highlights from the collection, while more pieces will be offered at later dates. Bid here

To view the collection in person, the public can visit the exhibition May 24 - 28 at HART Hall, H Queen’s in Central, Hong Kong.
