Space Ibiza is profiled in new 50-minute documentary
RIP Space
Space Ibiza, one of the island’s most iconic clubs, hosted its final party last night, with the site due to be taken over by the owners of Ushuaïa.
It marked the end of 27 years of craziness at the legendary nightspot, that has seen many of the world’s largest and finest DJs grace its booth. Check out these photos for an insight into the parties that went down in Space’s heyday.
Yesterday the club uploaded a new 50-minute documentary to YouTube that explores Space’s rich history, featuring some nostalgic reminiscing from the likes of Carl Cox, Fatboy Slim and Richie Hawtin.
"For myself, I had a history of going to the terrace when it was just comfy chairs, waitress service, a DJ behind the bar playing cool music, no sound system, no open roof, no fans, nothing, to it then becoming a super club." says Carl Cox as he recalls fond memories of his time as a Space resident.
So hold back the tears and remember the good times by checking out the documentary in full below.
