Snoop Dogg sued for alleged sexual assault of former dancer

The lawsuit comes just days before the rapper is due to play the Super Bowl half-time show

Snoop Dogg is being sued for allegedly sexually assaulting a backup dancer - just days before his Super Bowl halftime performance.

The former dancer had been working for the rapper and alleges that she was assaulted by him after one of his concerts in 2013.

According to Sky News the lawsuit was filed on February 9 in the Central District of California.

The woman has accused Snoop Dogg of entering a bathroom she was using, forcing her to perform oral sex and masturbating in front of her.

She says that she felt “pressured by defendant Snoop Dogg due to his dominance, and his position of power over her, including his ability to hire and fire her and ensure that she would never be hired in his industry again".

It is also added that she allegedly was sexually assaulted earlier that evening by one of Snoop Dogg’s employees who is also named as a defendant.

The complaint said: "Plaintiff found herself thinking about her job security if she displeased defendant Snoop Dogg.

"Plaintiff felt pressured by defendant Snoop Dogg due to his dominance, and his position of power over her, including his ability to hire and fire her and ensure that she would never be hired in his industry again."

The parties involved have attempted to resolve the matter through mediation, but talk has now ended, and she is seeking unspecified damages.

Snoop is due to perform at the Super Bowl half-time show on Sunday alongside Dr Dre, Eminem, Mary J Blige and Kendrick Lamar.
