New 'record store' scented candle available
The candle fuses the smells of "pressed vinyl" and "sweet blossoms"
Crate diggers and music collectors can now buy a record store scented candle.
Released by online candle retailer DW Home, the record store edition is said to bring together “pressed vinyl and warm woods” with “notes of sweet blossoms, hints of amber and soft fruit.”

The candle is available in both medium and large, with a burn time of 33 hours and 56 hours respectively. Prices start from $14.
‘Record Store’ is the latest in a string of novelty wax products for dance music fans. Last year, Earl of East and Uncommon Creative Studios unveiled Scents of Normality, a collection of candles to raise money for COVID-19 relief efforts. One of the three candles was designed to emulate a festival, via elements of cut grass, burned skin and sun-warmed cider. The candle also included “top notes of a burger van” and “an earthy bed of unwashed hair.”

Recent research found that vinyl sales have risen significantly over the last year. In the first half of 2021, 19.2 million records were sold, marking an increase of 108% from 2020.
Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Good Kid M.A.A.D City’ was amongst the top-selling vinyl releases this year so far.
