PXSSY PALACE announce first festival: 'Overflo'

Priority and first release tickets are on sale now

PXSSY PALACE has just announced its first-ever day festival, set to take place in London's Burgess Park in September.

PXSSY PALACE co-founder Nadine Noor Ahmad and BBZ co-founder Naeem Davis have collaborated to create Overflo, a festival which will feature a huge array of homegrown and international Queer, Trans, Non-binary, Black, Indigenous and POC talent.

The event will have multiple stages, and organisers stress that this gathering could not come at a better time as the pandemic restrictions come to an end and everyone can come together.

Overflo is a music, art, care, and culture event developed and curated by Queer and Trans people in the global majority. Staff will be carefully educated on-site, and there will be purposeful locations constructed with the comfort of traditionally marginalised festival-goers in mind.

A press statement reads: "Overflo Festival will unapologetically proclaim queerness, on the dancefloor and throughout the thoughtfully curated festival grounds.

"Created from years of experience, participation and experimentation Overflo is set to be a unique fixture for music and art within the emerging inclusive festival scene. Aiming to provide a liberating escape for the LGBTQ+ and BPoC community including the people who love and support them."

Nadine Noor Ahmad, says - "As curators, we are concerned with queering everything we can, from opportunities to events. Overflo is no different.

"The festival is a natural progression from what we as a team have been doing with Lesbiennale, PXSSY PALACE, BBZ and The Sanctuary. People can expect meaningful curation, unforgettable experiences, care, and to come away feeling nourished and uplifted."

Naeem Dxvis, says - “I can not tell you how many times I’ve been at a festival indulging in the oonst-oonst, far too aware of who wasn’t there, or who would love this but could never feel at ease here. It really goes without saying Overflo is long overdue.”

PXSSY PALACE Presents Overflo will take place on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Burgess Park, South London.

More information about the line-up and guest creatives to expect will be released later in the year.

The first release of tickets are £15 and on sale here.
