Printworks responds to receiving no support from the Cultural Recovery Fund
The venue's operator Broadwick Live has issued a statement after failing to secure funding for any of its UK venues
Printworks London has released a statement in response to receiving no financial support from Arts Council England’s Cultural Recovery Fund.
Broadwick Live, the company that operates the venue, also received no aid for the other venues in its portfolio: Depot Mayfield in Manchester and London’s Exhibition and The Drumsheds.

In the statement, Printworks wrote: “Last week's Culture Recovery Fund delivered a much-needed lifeline to the world-leading Arts & Culture industry here in the UK, with over £330m of grants handed out by Arts Council England.
“However as many of you are aware, Printworks' application for the recent round of the CRF which also included other Broadwick Live venues (including The Drumsheds London, Exhibition London and Depot Mayfield in Manchester) was unsuccessful.
“We pride ourselves on being a brand that upholds the importance of music and culture in the lives of so many. For the past four years, Printworks has provided a platform for countless artists, both established and emerging, bringing unforgettable experiences to the thousands of music fans we have had the pleasure of inviting through our doors.
"While we take this time to review the next steps we want to thank you for all the unwavering messages of support - we are honoured to be part of such an incredible community and industry."

More than 200 shows were programmed across Broadwick Live’s venues last year, employing in excess of 1,000 people per week in a range of roles.
Printworks alone attracted significant international interest, selling tickets across 54 international territories.
A number of other venues across the UK received funding, including fabric being awarded 1.5 million, Bristol’s Motion receiving £884,796, and Manchester’s Soup Kitchen receiving £186,579.
