Police hunt culprits after assaults at abandoned Melbourne factory rave

The incident happened on the Queen's Birthday long weekend

Melbourne police are looking for a man and a woman after ravers were robbed and assaulted at an abandoned warehouse party in the inner western suburb of Yarraville on the Queen's Birthday long weekend.

A number of people are believed to have been assaulted and had wallets, mobile phones, bags and passports stolen from the former Bradmill factory site at about 2am Sunday, June 10, by a group of five.

Police have released digital images of a couple aged in their 20s they are searching for, which you can see below, and are appealing for anyone who witnessed suspicious behaviour in the area at the time to come forward. Anyone who recognises the pair is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

Developers who own the former denim factory have until next February to begin work at the site.
